M.B.A. Degree Course and its features for the students

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a two years full time management Post Graduation degree programme and it is offered by many Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu. This course is al so offered in Distance Education mode as a part time course. The Distance mode of M.B.A. is very useful for working people. This Course has many specialization subjects which includes Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Production and System etc.. The students can opt any one of the above specialization during their course of study.

Eligibility for admission: The Eligibility criteria for MBA admission varies from one university to another in each state of India. The most common eligibility for MBA admission which are followed by many Universities India are as follows: The candidates those who are seeking admission for MBA programme must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.

M.C.A. Degree Course and its features for the students

Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) is a computer related Post Graduation degree programme and it is offered by many Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu. Many universities offer this programme in Distance Education mode as a part time course. The Distance mode of MC.A. is very useful for working professionals.

This Course has many specialization subjects which includes Image processing, Data analytics, Data mining, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence etc.. The students may opt any one of the above specialization during their course of study.

This course is also offered in two modes: (Full Time) namely (i) Regular (ii) Lateral Entry.
Regular Mode : The M.C.A. course in regular mode has the study period of three years. The Eligibility criteria for MCA admission under regular mode are varying from one university to another in each state of India. The most common eligibility for MCA admission in regular mode which are followed by many Universities India are as follows: The candidates those who are seeking admission for MCA programme must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with mathematics either in plus two level or degree level obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.

Lateral Entry mode: The M.C.A. course in Lateral entry mode has the study period of two years only. The students those who have studied B.Sc. (CS), B.C.A., B.Sc. (IT) and B.Sc. (CT) can get admission in this category with study period of two years only.

How to get admission for MBA and MCA in Tamil Nadu Colleges

The admission for both MBA and MCA courses in Tamil Nadu Engineering and Arts & Science colleges are done through Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) every year. TANCET is conducted by Anna University and the admission procedure follows a counseling method of single window system to allocate the colleges to the students who appeared for TANCET. The marks secured by the students in TANCET are the main criterion for choosing the colleges. The TANCET exam is held in the month of April for both MBA and MCA every year. The counseling for MBA and MCA admission is conducted by Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore in the month of July. This admission procedure for Government quota of 50% in the total admission. The government will fix the fee structure for admitting the students under this category.

The remaining 50% of the total admission are made by the management of concerned Colleges. This admission procedure is only applicable for self financing Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges. The management can fix the fee structure for admitting the students under this category.
