Introduction The aim of prime minister's scholarship scheme is to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex –Servicemen. A total number of 5500 students are selected every year. Dependent wards of Ex Servicemen, Dependent Wards of Widows of Ex Servicemen, Students who have scored 60% and above is minimum educational qualification are eligible for PMSS.
How to apply for Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) Online application only will be accepted. Application to be filled online by visiting http://ksb.gov.in/registration for registration. Application alongwith relevant documents and certificates are to be forwarded to respective Rajya Sainik Board / Coast Guard Headquarter latest by 30th Nov 2017. Apply online and submit documents before 30th September so that RSB will have sufficient time to process the application. If you apply by November end and go for submit documents at the 11th hour, RSB will not accept the application.

Important Instructions The scholarship is admissible for only two children.Application along with relevant documents and certificates is to be forwarded to respective Rajya Sainik Board or Coast Guard Headquarter latest by 30th November every year. The attached copies of the supporting documents should be self attested by candidate.The concerned RSBs or Coast Guard Headquarter will scrutinize the application Form with regard to their eligibility criteria before to forwarding the same to KSB. The list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the website www.desw.gov.in
Duration of Scholarship. 1 to 5 years subject to clearing exams every year in first attempt.
Amount of Scholarship. The amount of scholarship would be as follows: (a) Rs. 2000/- per month for boys (b) Rs. 2250- per month for girls
Renewal of Scholarship The students must submit 'ONLINE' Payment-cum-Renewal Form', Bonafide Certificate subsequent and Mark s memo of both semesters / academic year and first page of bank pass book.
