Applications invited for 3 year full time LLB course in Kerala state


Applications have started for the 3 year LLB course 2017 in Kerala state. Kerala government has invited applications for the 3 year LLB course 2017 to be conducted in its 4 government law colleges and 7 private self-financing law colleges. Altogether there are 615 seats. The details regarding seats in each college is clearly mentioned here. The admission will be mainly based on the performance in the entrance test that will be held on August 6 and will be done through a centralized allotment process.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the graduate course from a recognized university with minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply for this course. SEBC candidates require only 42% marks while the SC/ST candidates need only 40% marks. Those who are appearing for the final year exam are also eligible to apply for the 3 year LLB course 2017 in Kerala state.

Age limit

There won't be any lower age limit for candidates to apply for the 3 year LL.B course. But the decision for upper age limit is taken by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. If the age restriction is reinstated, only those candidates within the stipulated age limit will be given chance to appear for the entrance examination conducted on August 6, 2017.

How to apply?

How to pay the application fees?

Candidates can pay the application fees either by
  • Online payment
  • e-challan


If you have an internet banking account, credit card or debit card can make use of the online payment gateway. On the other hand, if you are selecting the e challan method, then first you need to take a print out of e challan by clicking print-e challan from the above mentioned website. You can make the payment in cash at any Head and sub post offices in Kerala. The candidate needs to hand over the e-challan to post office counter along with the required amount. Mode of entrance examination

The examination will be of 3 hour duration and will consist of 200 objective type questions in subjects like General Knowledge (65 questions), General English (65 questions) and Aptitude in Legal Studies (70 questions). All answers must be marked in the OMR sheet where the bubbles need to be filled using blue or black ink ballpoint pens only. Each correct answer will be given 3 marks but for each incorrect response there will be a deduction of 1 mark from the total score.
