Ganapati Festival Central Railway special trains 2017 online tickets booking


Want to book Central Railway tickets online for special trains from Mumbai or Pune during the 2017 Ganapati festival? This article gives details of the list of Central Railway trains s scheduled for August to September 2017 between Mumbai and and Chiplun & Karmali, between Panvel and Sawantwadi and between Pune and Sawantwadi. Central Railway is operating 60 extra special trains exclusively for the forthcoming Ganapati festival. These trains will run between Mumba and Chiplun & Karmali, between Panvel and Sawantwadi and between Pune and Sawantwadi.

The train numbers, coach seating arrangement and schedules are as mentioned below -

Mumbai-Chiplun Tri-Weekly Specials

There will be 22 trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) Mumbai & Chiplun as per below schedule:
  1. Train No.01179 from CST, Mumbai to Chiplun:
    • Days and dates: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 20th August to 12 September, 2017 (11 trips)

    • Departure Time: 05.00hrs

    • Arrival Time at Chiplun: 10.20hrs (same day)

  2. Train No.01180 from Chiplun to CST, Mumbai:
    • Days and dates: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 20th August to 12 September, 2017 (11 trips)

    • Departure Time: 17.45hrs

    • Arrival Time at CST, Mumbai: 23.40hrs (same day)

Halts to & fro: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Kolad, Indapur Road, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Wamne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, Khed and Anjani

Composition: 6 second seating class; 6 General second class

Mumbai-Karmali Weekly Specials

There will be six trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai and Karmali as per the schedule below:
  1. Train No.01045 from LTT, Mumbai to Karmali:
    • Days and dates: Every Monday from 21st August to 4th September (3 trips)

    • Departure Time: 01.10hrs

    • Arrival Time at Karmali: 11.00hrs (same day)

  2. Train No.01046 from Karmali to LTT, Mumbai:
    • Days and dates: Every Monday from 21st August to 4th September (3 trips)

    • Departure Time: 13.00hrs

    • Arrival Time at LTT, Mumbai: 00.20hrs (next day)

Halts to and fro: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali and Kudal

Composition: One AC-2 Tier; Two AC-3 Tier; 8 Sleeper Class and 6 General Second Class



There will also be eight weekly Specials between Mumbai and Karmali as follows –
  1. Train No.01043 from LTT, Mumbai to Karmali:
    • Days and dates: Every Friday from 18th August to 8th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 01.10hrs

    • Arrival time at Karmali: 11.00hrs (same day)

  2. Train No.01044 from Karmali to LTT, Mumbai:
    • Days and dates: Every Friday from from 18th August to 8th September 2017

    • Departure time: 13.00hrs

    • Arrival time at LTT, Mumbai: 23.55hrs (same day)

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali and Kudal

Composition: One AC-2 Tier; Three AC-3 Tier; 13 Sleeper class and 6 General Second Class.

Panvel to Sawantwadi Weekly Specials

There will be 8 trains between Panvel and Sawantwadi Road station as per the below schedule:
  1. Train No.01189 from Panvel to Sawantwadi Road:
    • Days and dates: Every Saturday from 19th August 2017 to 9th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 19.35hrs

    • Arrival time at Sawantwadi Road: 04.20hrs (next day)

  2. Train no.01190 from Sawantwadi Road to Panvel:
    • Days and dates: Every Satruday from 19th August 2017 to 9th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 08.00hrs.

    • Arrival time at Panvel: 18.20hrs. (same day)

Halts to and fro: Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

Composition: 10 Second Class seating and 8 General Second Class.

The following 8 trains will also run between Panval and Sawantwadi Road-
  1. Train No.01191 from Panvel to Sawantwadi Road:
    • Days and dates: Every Sunday from 20th August 2017 to 10th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 19.35hrs

    • Arrival time at Sawantwadi Road: 04.20hrs (next day)

  2. Train No.01192 from Sawantwadi Road to Panvel:
    • Days and dates: Every Sunday from 20th August 2017 to 10th September 2017 (4 trips)
    • Departure time: 07.10hrs
    • Arrival time at Panvel: 18.20hrs (same day)

Halts to and fro: Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

Composition: 10 Second Class seating and 8 General Second Class.

Pune to Sawantwadi Weekly Specials

There will be 8 trains between Pune and Sawantwadi Road station as per below schedule:
  1. Train No.01437 from Pune to Sawantwadi Road:
    • Days and dates: Every Friday from 18th August to 8th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 16.35hrs

    • Arrival time at Sawantwadi Road station: 04.20hrs (next day)

  2. Train No.01438 from Sawantwadi Road to Pune:
    • Days and dates: Every Monday from 21st August to 11th September 2017 (4 trips)

    • Departure time: 08.00hrs

    • Arrival time at Pune: 21.35hrs. (same day)

Bookings for Ganpati Specials starting from CST, Pune, Panvel and LTT will open from 18th July 2017 on special charges at all Reservation centres.
