This exercise is mainly meant for thighs and buttocks and it also helps in increasing the overall stamina of a person. In this exercise, first of all you should stand straight. Thereafter you have to bend the knees gradually and it should be continued till the thighs are parallel to the floor.

Push Ups


We all know that push ups do not require any equipment but are very effective to increase the stamina. The push ups are more beneficial for the chest muscles and triceps. In the push up exercise, you have to lie down with your face at the downside. Your palms should be on the floor and then you should move your body upside and then lower your body towards the back. You can vary the position of your body during the exercise in order to benefit a particular body part as well. For instance, if you want to exercise the chest muscles, you should increase the distance between both the arms. On the other hand, for triceps, you should decrease this distance.

Sit Ups


Sit ups are mainly meant for abdominal and back muscles. One of the precautions to take with sit ups is that the people with back pain should avoid them as it puts a lot of strain on the back.

Back Extension


Another basic exercise that can be performed easily at home is the back extension. It is meant mainly for the stomach back muscles.
