Pizza face.

If you have acne problems then you know why they call it “pizza face”. It not only looks like it, the greasy pizza causes it, too. Anything greasy has to be eliminated from your diet. No pizza, French fries, burgers, and the like. You also have to avoid lemony and citrus fruits and anything that contains that stuff. Nothing acidic. This includes the number one acne causer, tomatoes much of that in pizza, too. No sodas as most of them have acidic material in them. And off course no chocolate. You will have to follow a strict diet!

I've had acne problems since I was a teen and I haven't found long-term treatments. It really bothers me that pimples appear on my face (and sometimes other parts of my body as well) without me knowing why. I've tried sleeping early, exercising, and putting a lid on my chocolate bingeing. A few years ago, I tried using Proactive and it worked for a while. After a dramatic improvement in my skin, I felt as if I hit a plateau where I had mild acne once in a while. Furthermore, I had lots of acne scars on my face which I had to cover up with concealer.

In addition to my problems with skin, I am a perfectionist. I tried switching to other brands hoping to find the perfect acne medicine. So far, I've used stuff from Mario Badescu and Kiehl's with not-so-great results. Both product lines are a hit-or-miss; sometimes the pimple goes away and sometimes they don't.

But I think that the only solution to this problem is to find the perfect dermatologist. A prescription strength cream will help to solve the acne problem. And pay attention that contrary to popular believes acne is not due to lack of cleanliness. Don't over scrub your face that just makes it worse. Use ph neutral soap without any perfumes and stuff. Everything else just irritates the skin even more.
