Introduction to the JEE Joint Entrance Examination 2018 Advanced The JEE Advanced 2018 was previously known as the IIT-JEE entrance examination. This used to be the entrance examination for gaining admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology. Students who gain merit in this entrance examination are eligible for admission to the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology in India. The other institutes to which admission can be applied for are RGIPT, IISERs and IISc.
The JEE Advanced is considered as one of the toughest examinations in the world. The admission rate is very low and hovers around 1 to 2% of the total appearances.

Date and Time of JEE Advanced 2018 examinationThe JEE Advanced 2018 examination will be held on 20 May 2018. This day is a Sunday.
The examination is composed of two papers. The first paper will be from 9 am to 12 noon IST. The second paper will be from 2 pm to 5 pm IST.
Mode of Examination for JEE Advanced 2018The JEE Advanced 2018 will be completely Computer Based examination and will be conducted through authorised centres only.
The exam will be in two papers. Each paper is of 3 hours duration and will be presented in English and Hindi language. The choice of language will be presented to the candidate during the examination.
The JEE Advanced 2018 is being organised by IIT Kanpur.

Courses to which admission is gained through JEE Advanced 2018 A student who clears the JEE Advanced 2018 is eligible to contest for admissions to the following courses offered by IITs and other institutions:
Students desirous to take admissions into B. Arch. course will have to further take the JEE Advanced AAT examination. The eligibility to appear for the JEE Advanced AAT course, the student will have to clear JEE Mains, then JEE Advanced examinations.
Eligibility criteria for the JEE Advanced 2018 Entrance Examination The JEE Advanced can be given by Indian and Foreign national applicants. The criteria are as follows:
Further criteria for admission Candidates who qualify through the JEE Advanced 2018 Entrance Examination will have to fulfil the further criteria.
The candidates who clear all the above-mentioned criteria will then have to participate in the joint seat allocation process. To participate in the joint seat allocation process, they will have to fill their choices of courses, they wish to take admission in. The process updates will be announced by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2018.
