Online applications open for Delhi Government Mega Job Fair 2018


Looking for employment opportunities in a private company in Delhi? The Government of Delhi is organizing the next mega job fair in February next year. Applications are open to register, for both private companies and job seekers. This article provides details of the job fair dates, venue and the online registration process.

The Directorate of Employment Govt. of NCT of Delhi has announced that it will organize a job fair starting in February 2018. This fair aims to provide employment opportunities to those aspiring to get a job in the private sector.

How it works

The companies should post the list of vacancies before 31st January 2018 with their system-generated login ID and password. Job aspirants can select the vacancies as per their qualifications & skills with their system-generated login ID and password. The job seekers' C.V. as per the data they provided will be screened and shortlisted by the companies in the job fair.

Date: 15th and 16th February 2018

Time: 11a.m. to 5p.m.

How to register as a job aspirant

You need to first register as a job seeker at http://www.degs.org.in/jobfair/. This portal is also available via a link at http://www.delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connect/DOIT_DOE/DOE/home.

Then follow these steps -
  1. Fill up the registration form for job seekers, which is at: http://degs.org.in/jobfair/Jobseekers.aspx

  2. Fill up all the boxes, such as your contact details, your educational qualification, your work experience if any, which skills you have, the languages you know, etc. Make sure that you fill in all boxes with a red asterisk (*) as these details are compulsory to be provided.

  3. Double check all the details which you have entered and then click the 'Submit' button.

  4. Make a note of the Registration ID for applying for existing vacancies which will be listed by employers. This Registration ID will also be sent to you at your mobile contact number & email ID.

Now you can check out the list of vacancies available via the 'Vacancies' tab at the same website. Then follow these steps -
  1. Click on the 'Click Here' option in the link provided at the particular vacancy you have selected. Make sure that, before applying, you do fulfil all the eligibility requirements for the vacant post as required by the employer.

  2. If you have already registered as a job seeker, you should enter the 10-digit registration number in the requisite box. A One-time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number which you must enter in the box given. Then click on the 'Submit' button.

  3. The data you entered for the job vacancy will get sent to the ID of the employer.

  4. The employer will do the requisite screening of your application during the job fair and will send you an intimation of the time, date and venue via SMS to your mobile number.

Note: There is no guarantee that the employer will give you the job or even shortlist your application. The shortlisting of candidates from the job seekers will be totally up to the employer, as per the requirement.

How to register as an employer

You need to first register as an employer at http://www.degs.org.in/jobfair/. This portal is also available via a link at http://www.delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connect/DOIT_DOE/DOE/home.

Then follow these steps -
  1. Fill up the registration form for employers which is at: http://degs.org.in/jobfair/EmployerRegs.aspx

  2. Enter the details of your organization and provide the contact details in the relevant boxes.

  3. You must also upload the copy of the company registration, if any, or submit a request for registration on the company letterhead in PDF format.

  4. Double check all the details which you have entered before clicking on the 'Submit' button.

  5. Make a note of the Registration ID. The Login User ID and password will be sent to your mobile number and email ID after acceptance of the same from the department.

Once you have obtained the user ID and password, you can start posting the list of vacancies on the same portal. These are the steps to do so -
  1. Click on the 'Employer Login' tab and enter the User ID and Password which was sent to you.

  2. Click on the 'Add vacancy' link and enter all the essential details as required for the vacant position. Then click on the 'Submit' button.

In case of any problem in submitting the details, send an email to datahub.emp09@gmail.com.

When a job aspirant applies for a vacant position in your company, the data entered by the job seeker will be sent to you at your email ID.
