Body Mass Index(BMI) Body mass index is a means of measuring your body fat relative to height.
Calculation of Body Mass Index To calculate your BMI based on height and weight, I)Divide your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared and multiply that answer by 703. OR II) If you are using the metric system, the weight will be in kilograms, and the height will be measured in meters. The equation is exactly the same (remember to square your height), but there is no need to multiply by 703.
Meaning of Body Mass Index measurements 1)A BMI of 18.5 is considered as being Underweight. 2)A BMI range of 18.5 – 24.9 is considered normal. 3)A BMI range of 25.0 – 29.9 is defined as overweight. 4)A BMI of 30.0 and above is categorized as obese.

Nice article.
It works as guidelines to the health conscious people. Some people will be telling that they want to reduce their weight even though they don’t look like fatty.
This is because, not having much knowledge on weight and height concept. Once they calculate their weight basing on their height, they will definitely realize that they are not fatty and they need not reduce their weight.
