2018 Western Railway Summer Special Trains from Mumbai


Are you looking for special fare trains from Mumbai to Jammu Tawi? Planning to travel from Mumbai to Lucknow this summer? This article provides a schedule of Western Railway trains starting from Mumbai to other cities, including Jammu Tawi, Lucknow, Gandhidham, Udaipur, etc.

It's that time of the year when you can plan ahead to book your railway tickets for a summer vacation! Western Railway has already announced the schedule of its superfast summer special trains which will be operated in the months of April, May and June 2018. There are 94 special services of five trains for the convenience of passengers. Online and offline ticket bookings for these trains are open.

The schedule of the WR summer special trains is as follows –

Mumbai to Lucknow

Weekly Suvidha Trains

From 12th April to 1st June 2018, there will be weekly Suvidha Superfast special trains with 16 trips totally.

Train No.: 82907.
Departure: From Mumbai Central at 19.35hrs (Thursday).
Dates: 12th, 19th and 26th April; 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st May.
Arrival: Lucknow Jn. At 20.40hrs. (Friday).

Return Train No.: 82908.
Departure: From Lucknow Jn. At 22.35hrs. (Friday).
Dates: 13th, 20th and 27th April; 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th May; 1st June.
Arrival: Mumbai Central at 23.10hrs. (Saturday).

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, Bina, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur Central.

Composition: AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, II Class Sleeper and Pantry Car.



Weekly Superfast Trains

From 7th June to 29th June 2018 there will be weekly Superfast Special Trains with 8 trips totally.

Departure: From Mumbai Central at 19.35hrs. (Thursday).
Dates: 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th June.
Arrival: Lucknow Jn. At 20.40hrs. (Friday).

Return Train No.: 09014.
Departure: From Lucknow Jn. At 22.35hrs. (Friday).
Dates: 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th June.
Arrival: Mumbai Central at 23.10hrs. (Saturday).

Halts to and fro and Composition: same as Suvidha trains.

Mumbai to Gandhidham

From 14th April to 30th Jun 2018 there will be weekly superfast special trains with 24 trips totally.

Departure: From Bandra Terminus at 00.25hrs. (Saturday).
Dates: 14th, 21st and 28th April; 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th May; 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th June 2018.
Arrival: Gandhidham at 13.50hrs. (Saturday).

Return Train No.: 09434
Departure: From Gandhidham at 16.35hrs. (Saturday)
Dates: 14th, 21st and 28th April; 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th May; 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th June 2018.
Arrival: Bandra Terminus at 06.15hrs. (Sunday)

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Dhrangadhra, Samakhiali and Bhachau.

Composition: AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class, II Class General Coaches and Pantry Car.

Mumbai to Jammu Tawi

From 16th April to 26th June 2018 there will be AC Superfast Special trains with 22 trips totally.

Departure: From Bandra Terminus at 05.10hrs. (Monday).
Dates: 16th, 23rd & 30th April; 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th May; 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th June 2018.
Arrival: Jammu Tawi at 15.30hrs. (Tuesday).

Return Train No.: 09022.
Departure: From Jammu Tawi at 23.15hrs. (Tuesday)
Dates: 17th and 24th April; 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th May; 5th, 12th 19th and 26th June 2018.
Arrival: Bandra Terminus at 10.20hrs. (Thursday)

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Hinduan City, Mathura Jn., New Delhi, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt. and Pathankot Cantt.

Composition: AC 2 Tier; AC 3 Tier; AC Chair Car.

Mumbai to Udaipur

From 10th April to 27th June there will be special weekly trains on a special fare with 24 trips totally.

Departure: From Bandra Terminus at 22.50hrs. (Tuesday).
Dates: 10th, 17th and 24th April; 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th May; 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th June 2018.
Arrival: Udaipur at 18.10hrs. (Wednesday).

Return Train No.: 09058.
Departure: From Udaipur at 21.35hrs. (Wednesday).
Dates: 11th, 18th and 25th April; 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th May; 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th June 2018.
Arrival: Bandra Terminus at 14.55hrs. (Thursday).

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Mandsor, Nimach, Chittorgarh, Mavli Jn. and Ranapratap Nagar.

Composition: AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, II Class Sleeper and Pantry Car.

In addition to the above summer special trains, Western Railway has launched additional weekly trains as follows –

Mumbai to Jaipur

From 4th April to 28th June 2018 there will be superfast special trains operating weekly, with 26 trips totally.

Departure: From Bandra Terminus at 6.15hrs. (Thursday).
Dates: 5th April to 28th June 2018.
Arrival: Jaipur at 1.25hrs. (Friday).

Return Train No.: 09723.
Departure: From Jaipur at 8.20hrs. (Wednesday).
Dates: 4th April to 27th June 2018.
Arrival: Bandra Terminus at 4.45hrs.

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nimach, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer and Kishangarh.

Composition: First AC, AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.



Mumbai to Ajmer

From 1st April to 25th June 2018 there will be superfast special trains on special fares operating weekly, with 26 trips totally.

Departure: Bandra Terminus at 6.15hrs. (Monday).
Dates: 20th April to 25th June 2018.
Arrival: Ajmer at 03.25hrs. (Tuesday).

Return Train No.: 09621.
Departure: Ajmer at6.30hrs. (Sunday).
Dates: 1st April to 24th June 2018.
Arrival: Bandra Terminus at 4.45hrs. (Monday).

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Durgapur, Jaipur and Kishangarh.

Composition: AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.

How to book tickets

The schedule of the various trains can be checked at the Western Railways online portal
You can book tickets online at the IRCTC e-Ticketing website by first registering & opening an account.

An alternative option is to book IRCTC outstation railway tickets on mobile phone by SMS. You can also book tickets directly at any of the Passenger Reservation Centres.

Once you have booked your tickets, you can make enquiries about your ticket reservation via the Indian Railways Passenger Reservation Enquiry portal.
