Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) recently announced a low budget housing scheme at Delhi NCR. It has now announced a housing project at Wagholi, Pune. The scheme is open to civilians who are Indian citizens on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Project overview

Location: The housing complex is at Wagholi on the Pune-Ahmedabad Highway, within the vicinity of the historical Wageshwar Temple. It is located approximately five kilometers from the Air Force Station with medical, educational and recreational facilities.

Central Amenities: The housing project includes a clubhouse complex with a decorative entrance lobby. This complex will have a community hall, a leisure swimming pool, a gym and jogging track, sports facilities and provision for shopping for amenities. Additional infrastructure includes a play park and landscaped garden. The entire complex is being designed to be environmental-friendly with facilities for rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment, water treatment & recycling and vermiculture garbage disposal.

Number of flats available: 728 units.

Progress of construction: The work on the housing project began in February 2016 and is about 62% completed, with construction in full swing. The probable date of completion of the project is December 2019.

Note:
  1. The tentative cost excludes the cost of parking, society corpus fund and facility management charges.

Eligibility

Applicants or their families (husband/wife and dependent/minor children/divorced daughter) are eligible for allotment from AWHO even if they are having a house/flat/plot allotted by Maharashtra Awas Yojna in Pune and own more than one house/flat/plot allotted by Maharashtra Awas Yojna in any other city of Maharashtra.

How to apply

To obtain the master brochure and application form you should send a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.168/- through Regd. Post in favour of MD AWHO payable at New Delhi. You can also collect it in person from any project office or HQ AWHO on payment of Rs.112/-.

The application form can also be downloaded online from the AWHO website. In this case, the applicant will have to remit Rs.168/- extra for the subsequent dispatch of AWHO master brochure.

It is advisable to check the details of the building plans, specifications, cost of the dwelling units, etc at the AWHO website.
