Introduction Applications are invited for Admission for BBA Program 2018 of Christ University, Bangalore. The applicants who are writing the Plus Two examinations in March and May month can apply with their 10th and 12th class mark sheets. The last date for applying is April 19, 2018.
About Christ University Christ university, a Deemed university, was born by the vision of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara and he was educationalist and also a social reformer in the 19th century of South India. He was the first person who founded the first Catholic congregation in the year 1831 which is now managed by the CHRIST which is deemed to become a university.
Christ college is established in the year 1969 and it took initiatives in higher education for introducing modern and innovative curriculum which focused on academic discipline and adopted higher education practices for creating a dedicated and creative staff. UGC (University Grants Commission) conferred the autonomy status in the year 2004. Christ University was considered to have the potential for excellence in the year 2006 and under the UGC Act of 1956, the Ministry of HRD and the Govt of India declared the institution to be a Deemed University. This is the first institution which is accredited in the year 1998 by NAAC and in the years 2004 and 2016, the Christ excelled to grade A with a four-point scale.
Christ university is having two campuses - one in Kengeri campus and Bannerghatta campus. The Kengeri campus is spread across 75 acres which are of 25 km which is away from the main campus and is 10km from the Bangalore university and 8 kilometers away from RV College of Engineering, Mysore. The campus is having playgrounds and activities for sports and it is also a hub for Educational Institutions such as Christ PU College, Engineering College, and Management Institute. Engineering faculty was born in the year 2009, September 14 for contributing to Technical Education in Engineering field.
Admission Process The applicants will be given information about the status for selection through the link given in application status which is published in the university website: https://christuniversity.in/. If the applicant gets selected the admission will be subjected to the rules of the university. The process for admission will be given in admission offer through the status link given in the website university. The applicants will be given preferred date and time which is available through the options for conducting the admission process in a smooth manner. The fees for the first year which includes registration fee need to be paid in full for the Admission Process. The applicants need to carry the original documents and below documents, as follows.
The applicants who fall under the NRI, PIO, SAARCC, Africa need to submit the following documents.
The documents need to be verified at the admission process. The undertaking for pending documents needs to be verified at the time of admission process. The documents need to be submitted on or before 15th July 2018. The failure of sending pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the examination and will be considered as Not Eligible and admission will be expelled from the Christ University.
The applicants who are admitted to the university need to open an account at South Indian Bank at the branch of Christ university. The ID proof of Pan and Aadhar card need to be bought for opening account. The ID card of the university is a smart card which has both ID and ATM card and a chip which contains the personal details. All transactions will be done within the university campus and after class gets started, the payment fees will be processed through the card. There is an access card for library and other places which are restricted. The candidates who get selected and falls under the International student category need to register to the foreigner of regional registration officer within 14 working days from the admission date.
Eligibility Criteria The basic eligibility criteria for the program is plus two level pass from any of the PUC, ISC, CBSE and NIOS state boards under any recognized board of India. The applicants who write the plus two examinations in the March and May 2018 need to apply with the tenth and twelve marks. The applicants who pursue the International board curriculum need to have 24 credits. The applicants who pursue the Edexcel and GCE need to have minimum 3 A levels.
Structure of Fees The Indian nationals who pursue an International curriculum in India need to pay the fees under the NRI status for the first year. The NRI fee is payable for the full duration of the program and needs to pursue their last qualifying exam outside India. For claiming fees for Indian or Karnataka, the applicants need to study for 7 years in India or in Karnataka. This is not applicable to OCI, PIO, and Foreign Nationals. Those who come under Karnataka category need to pay RS 1,20000. Those who are outside state RS 1,45000. For NRI RS 2,28000.
After the final selection process, If candidates get selected, then they have to pay the fees via South Indian Bank at the Branch of Christ university. For paying the fees via Bank transfer, the applicants must contact at firstname.lastname@example.org for details. The transfer and the payment of fees do not guarantee admission.
