About UoHThe University of Hyderabad in short UoH is also known as the Hyderabad Central University (HCU). UoH was established in 1974 and has presently emerged as one of the major institutions of higher education in India. It is placed in the top 100 universities of the world with NAAC A grade. It is also listed in Category - I of UGC (University Grants Commission) - the categorization of universities only for grant of graded autonomy.
The university campus is located in Gachibowli - the IT hub of the Hyderabad. The campus has natural beauty with much of bio-diversity. The university offers 150 different programmes of study that include doctoral studies, Masters programmes, Post Graduate Diploma programmes and short term courses through distance mode. There are 12 schools of study and 46 different departments and centres.
The university has a very good reputation in providing quality education. It has a good number of awards to its credit that include PURSE given by the Prime Minister of India.
