Introduction Osmania University has come into existence in the year 1918. This university is named after its founder, Nawaz Osman Ali Khan. This is the seventh oldest university in India. The University offers 27 UG Programmes, 68 PG Courses, 24 PG Diplomas, 2 Research Programmes and 15 certificate Programmes. The admissions for this University are through an entrance test. The entrance test named as OUCET 2018. The applicants have to apply online for this test. The various courses for which admission is sought are various PG courses, PG Diploma courses and 5 years Integrated programmes offered by this University. The entrance test will be the computer-based test which will be conducted online.
Examination Pattern of OUCET – 2018 The duration of entrance tests for all the subjects will be 90 minutes. The question paper consists of 100 objectives (multiple choice only) type questions. Each question carries one mark.
The entrance test will have 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items like analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study/experiment / theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiple choice items. The questions will be only from the syllabus of entrance test.

Registration The registration fee for a single subject is Rs.700/- for OC/BC candidates and Rs. 575/- for SC/ST/PH candidates. If somebody wants to appear for more than one subject for each additional subject, the fee is Rs.450/- for all categories.
The registration fee may be paid at any TS/AP Online Centres or through payment gateway and fill the online registration form. Once the registration is completed successfully, the candidate will receive a Registration ID, which should be preserved by the candidate for logging in to fill the online application and for future use.
Eligibility Criteria A candidate should fulfill the following conditions for admission: A pass in the Qualifying Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the subject(s)/course(s) concerned as mentioned in the Information Brochure.
One must have qualified in OU Common Entrance Test conducted by the University in the concerned subject in which admission is sought.

Online Application Submission The candidates must keep ready the scanned copies of the latest passport size colour photograph, his / her signature, the certificate of caste (If applicable) and PH certificate (If applicable). These scanned copies are to be uploaded while filling up online application.
The candidate is to log in to website, www.ouadmissions.com or www.osmania.ac.in using their registration ID, registered mobile number and date of birth to fill and submit the Online Application.
Before submitting the online application, the candidate has to view and verify the application to confirm that all the entries, including the uploaded photograph and the signature, are correct.
The candidate must also take a printout of the application for future reference.
The candidate will be responsible for any incorrect/inconsistent entries in the online application form. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage if the particulars furnished by the candidate are found to be incorrect.
The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions will be made available in OU websites, www.ouadmissions.com or www.osmania.ac.in at least one week before the commencement of entrance tests. The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets and affix a latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get it self-attested. Without the Hall Ticket (with self-attested photograph), the candidate is not allowed to appear for entrance test.
