A very exhaustive and informative article for job opportunities for intermediate qualified students.

I will like to mention here that the job condition in our country today is very very tough and competitive and just by doing intermediate may not help in the matter until one is in the top scoring students and then naturally he can fare better in the exams as mentioned in this article. So one should try to compete for these exams and at the same time keep the longtime target or objective in mind and pursue the desired graduation and post graduation degrees etc or compete in medical, engineering or management line or even can try in teaching line after going BEd.

So after doing intermediate if one does not get selected in the career paths as mentioned in the article then one should not be discouraged as one can always select another educational path as per one's aptitude and interest and thereafter apply for suitable jobs.

The article gave an exhaustive information about the career chances after completing intermediate. One important thing here is as many people are completing their Intermediate there will be a heavy competition for the post with intermediate qualification. So one should have full concentration and get trained very well for faring well in the selection process for these examinations and posts.
These days the State governments are recruiting teachers with D.Ed qualification. This training is for two years after intermediate. You need not go for graduation also. So people, if it is difficult for them to go for further studies after intermediate, can consider undergoing this training which will increase the chances of getting a job. After completing the training you have to write a written test and people selected in this test will have fair chances to get a teaching post in government schools.

This is an excellent piece of information for those who have studied only up to the plus two level.

All I wish to add is the availability of a huge number of courses that one can take up, even when working in a very ordinary job in the private sector. To give one simple example, he or she can easily study cost accounting after plus two. The fees are very reasonable. In fact, hundreds of students plunge into this course, called the ICWA, and then simultaneously do the correspondence course from good universities like the University of Madras, for the B.Com degree course.

It is quite easily possible to do courses like this. One can also note that several BPO companies recruit those with very good command over English, even if they have studied only plus two. It is these kinds of jobs that pay quite well, and starting salaries in many such organizations for the "voice" jobs, particularly in Chennai, is more than rupees ten thousand per month, whereas food and accommodation will cost around six thousand in many paid guest accommodations.

So, after joining these jobs, after plus two, one can easily take up the correspondence course, even while continuing to work. The Annamalai University is the largest University in India, where a huge number of correspondence courses are conducted through distance education, on par with the IGNOU.

Hence, there are opportunities also in the private sector. One has to be just alert to identify the right slots.
