About CSIR-CFTRI CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) was started in the year 1950 to conduct detailed research and development in the areas of Food Science and Technology. The institute contributes more in the food industry by undergoing various research programmes and externally funded projects from international and national agencies.
CSIR-CFTRI is an ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008 certified organization which also has NABL accreditation for biological and chemical testing of samples. To excel in the area of food science and technology, the institute has a partnership with food industries and international institutions such as Institute of Food Technologists (USA), National Science Foundation (USA), European Economic Commission (Belgium), United Nations University (Tokyo), and many more.
About M.Sc. Food Technology programme in CSIR-CFTRI M.Sc. Food Technology programme was established in the year 1964 at the Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru as a part of International Food Technology Training Center (IFTTC). It is an inter-disciplinary course aimed to develop the food industries with trained food technocrats. The vision of the course is to create a revolution in the food industry. The course curriculum gives hands-on experience and technical knowledge to the students on food industries and the process involved in food industries. M.Sc. Food Technology degree programme at CSIR-CFTRI is awarded by Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR).
M.Sc Food Technology admission notification 2018-2020 M.Sc Food Technology admissions are open at CSIR-CFTRI for the academic year 2018-2020. Candidates who wish to pursue the postgraduate degree in food technology must satisfy the eligibility criteria and must follow the admission guidelines of CSIR-CFTRI as mentioned below.

Points to remember
After filling the electronic application form, a copy of filled in application form will be delivered to the email id mentioned in the application form. Candidate must take a print out of the application form and sign where ever applicable and send the filled in application form(with photo and signature) along with the below mentioned documents to The Co-ordinator (M.Sc. Food Technology), CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Cheluvamba Mansion, KRS Road, Mysuru - 570 020.

Selection process After submitting the application form, the candidates will be called to attend the entrance test conducted by the institute at Mysore.
Candidate must score minimum 50 marks (General / OBC / Defence personnel) and 45 marks (SC/ST) in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.
Based on the aggregate marks scored by a candidate in bachelor's degree and the entrance examination ( both equal weight of 50%), All India merit list subjected to the reservation will be released.
Candidates will be admitted into the M.Sc. Food Technology programme based on their rank and the seats available for each category.
