Karnatak University Dharwad Cambridge UK Fellowships 2019

Karnatak University, Dharwad has announced applications open for the Dr. D.C. Pavate Memorial Fellowships in Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. There are three visiting Fellowships for a period of four months.

Fellowship features

The Fellowship through Karnatak University provides a stipend of 3500 pounds sterling and the appropriate academic charges. The Fellowship will also cover the expenses of economy class return airfare.

Who can apply

  1. Age criteria: Those who are below 40 years of age as on 1st January 2018.

  2. Academic qualification: Ph.D. or a first class Master's Degree or its equivalent.

  3. For Fellowships which are for Karnataka candidates: The candidate should be educated for a minimum of five years continuously at an educational institution located in Karnataka or employed in Karnataka for a minimum of five years continuously.

List of Fellowships

  1. At Centre of International Studies/Department of Politics and International Studies, Cambridge: The candidates for this Fellowship will be selected on an all-India basis. The applicant should a good academic record in the fields of History, Political Science or International Relations, International Economics, International Law or Military Affairs.

  2. At Judge Business School, Cambridge: The candidates for this Fellowship will be selected from among Karnataka candidates. The Fellowship will be effective from September 2019. The applicant should a good academic record and an interest in any aspect of Indian business and management.

  3. At the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics / Department of Material Sciences and Metallurgy / Department of Chemistry / Department of Zoology: The candidates for this Fellowship will be selected from among Karnataka candidates. The Fellowship will be effective from January 2019. The applicant should have a good academic record in the area of Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Material Sciences and Metallurgy, Chemistry and Zoology.

It should be noted that for this Fellowship, the selection and award is subject to the Department concerned identifying a host research group accepting the successful candidate. Further information on the research groups and/or their faculty members' research interests can be checked on the Departmental websites of the University of Cambridge.

Note: In case of Fellowship at the Centre of International Studies and Judge Business School, supporting statement from a mentor at the University of Cambridge is not mandatory.
