Welcome to INDICON 2008
IEEE India Council has been holding annual conference and Exhibition (ACE) at different locations in India. From 2004 ACE is renamed as INDICON.
INDICON-2008 is being organized by IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section, jointly with IEEE India council and IIT Kanpur during 11-13 December 2008 at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Emerging fields such as distributed systems, multi-agent systems and cooperative intelligent systems are bringing exciting prospects in research where modern control, communication and automation concepts converge and find applications in process, space, power and many industry sectors. While INDICON 2008 will focus on this theme, papers are solicited in all aspects of control, communication and automation. This conference will be an ideal platform for exchange of ideas between participants from academia, industries, utilities and R&D organizations.

Conference Exhibition
A technical exhibition for showcasing different products, systems and subsystems, relevant to the theme of the conference, by industries, utilities & other organizations, is planned at the conference venue. Stalls measuring about 3m x 3m will be provided to each exhibitor for the period of the conference at a nominal charge of Rs. 30,000/-. Proposals are invited for this purpose from the interested organizations.

Instructions To Author
All papers must be written in English and should describe original work. The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 6 pages (in the standard IEEE conference double column format), including figures, tables and references. The basic guidelines are given here in a sample paper available for download sample_ieee.pdf. All papers must be submitted electronically through online web submission. The conference proceedings will include all papers from the regular sessions, invited sessions, special sessions on theme.
Full papers should be submitted to INDICON 2008 by 15th June 2008 for review. The authors will be intimated about the review result by 1st September 2008
Venue
The venue for "INDICON 2008 " will be IIT Kanpur. The institute is located on the Grand Trunk Road, 15 km west of Kanpur City and measures close to 420 hectares. IIT Kanpur campus is one of the best places to stay with a lush green atmosphere. The campus provides all the facilities to the whole fraternity with high speed internet connection in all the rooms, shopping complexes, restaurants, swimming pool, gymnasium, recreation, entertainment, sports and several cultural and co-curricular activities. It has well-equipped and multi-faceted auditorium and lecture halls for hosting international symposium and workshops.
