Eligibilty

D.Pharm:
A pass in the 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by the statutory bodies with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics.

B.Pharm:
A pass in the 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by the statutory bodies with not less than 50% marks in any combination comprising Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2008.

Candidates who have scored less than 50% marks in 12th standard but who have completed B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in combination with any two of the following, namely, Physics or Mathematics or Microbiology or Botony or Zoology or Bio-technology or Computer Science or Electronics securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to the I year B.Pharm course.

Candidates who have scored less than 50% marks in 12th standard but who have completed the D.Pharm course, securing more than 50% marks in aggregate in D.Pharm, are eligible to be admitted to the I year B.Pharm course.

Candidates who have passed the D.Pharm course (approved by the PCI) with not less than 60% aggregate shall also be eligible to this course and shall be admitted directly to the II B.Pharm course. The number of direct admissions to the II B.Pharm is however, restricted to 10% of the sanctioned intake.

M.Pharm:
A pass in the B.Pharm from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore or any other University accepted as equivalent thereto, securing not less than 55%marks in aggregate of all the 4 years of study.



Procedure


Application forms are available at the Nitte Education Trust offices in Ahmedabad and Mangalore at a cost of Rs.300/-. The same can also be downloaded from the website www.nitte.ac.in. The duly filled-in application form should be forwarded along with the following documents:

Attested photocopy of the 10th standard marks card.
Attested photocopy of the 12th standard marks card.
A demand draft for Rs.350/- towards registration fee favoring "Nitte Education Trust - A/c NGSMIPS", payable at Mangalore. Incase the application has been downloaded from the website, then a sum of Rs.650/- should be sent.


Commencement of course


The D.Pharm / B.Pharm course commences as per the date prescribed by the University, most likely during mid September.

List of documents to be produced at the time of admission:

12th standard equivalent marks card / pass certificate - Original + 3 attested photocopies.
10th standard equivalent marks card / pass certificate - Original + 3 attested photocopies.
Transfer certificate from the institution last attended - Original + 3 attested photocopies.
Conduct certificate from the institution last attended - Original only.
Eligibility certificate issued by the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (not required if the student has passed the Karnataka PUC).
Migration certificate from the Board of the institution last attended (not required if the student has passed the Karnataka PUC).
Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
Blood group certificate.
Photographs - passport size 05,stamp size 05.
