Workshop on MATLAB Image Processing Toolkit in VIT University from 16th - 21st June 2008.
TIFAC CORE IN AUTOMOTIVE INFOTRONICS @VIT
State of the art advanced engineering centre for research, consultancy and
manpower training in Automotive Infotronics is established at Vellore Institute of Technology, promoted by TIFAC (Technology Information Forecast and
Assessment Council), under the Mission REACH program.
Offers a full time PG program in Automotive Electronics to provide industry
ready engineers.
Educational objective
The purpose of the proposed certificate program is to provide opportunities for
students from various engineering backgrounds to gain knowledge and
experience in Image processing using the toolkit Matlab. This Program will offer
training various algorithms for handling and processing images in various
applications using the image processing toolkit in Matlab.
Topics Covered
Program covers the following aspects.
Image display
Image file I/O
Image arithmetic
Geometric transformations
Image registration
Pixel values and statistics
Image compression
Image Enhancement
Image noise
Linear and nonlinear spatial filtering
Linear 2-D filter design
Image transforms
Neighborhood and block processing
Morphological operations(intensity and binary images)
color space conversions

REGISTRATION FEES:
Rs. 6,000 per delegate from Industry
Rs. 4,000 per delegate from Institute (faculty)
Rs. 3000 per delegate from Institute (Student)
Registration charges include course material & local hospitality. The number of
participants is limited to thirty based on first come first serve. Accommodation
can be arranged in our Guest House on request based on first come first serve
as per Tariff.
