Post Doctoral Scholarship in Thailand

BIOTEC welcomes new or recent doctorates in the fields of molecular biology, molecular genetics, microbiology, biochemistry and biotechnology. The following research topics are currently open for postdoctoral fellows:
Immunostimulation and viral infection in shrimp and crab. Genomic and proteomic characterization of Laem Singh virus (LSNV), a new shrimp pathogen found in Thailand. Protein structure determination to understand structure-function relationship and catalytic mechanism in human malaria. Integrated computational tools for antimalarial drug design. Post-genomics studies for identification of potential antimalarial targets. Identification of pfDHFR-TS translational control complex. In order to be eligible, applicants must have recently received their doctoral degree during the past two or three years.
The Fellowship provides a stipend for upto two years (rate is subject to applicants’ experience), plus health insurance, one round trip economy class airfare (only if the applicants work at BIOTEC for at least one year) and bench fee.

About BIOTEC National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) is one of four technology centers under the auspices of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), an autonomous government agency in Thailand. The Center operates a number of research units, some of which are located at Thailand Science Park and some at various universities.
