Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) invites applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) tenable at Polymers & Special Chemicals Group (PSCG), PCM Entity from motivated candidates below the age of 28 years as on 21.05.2008 (Relaxable in respect of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per rules), possessing First Class M. Sc Degree in any one of the subjects viz. Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry with an aptitude for research. Final year students may also apply provided they are able to produce the M. Sc Certificate a the time of written test/ interview. Candidates having NET/ CSIR or equivalent will get priority.
Polymers and Special Chemicals Group (PSCG/ PCM) of VSSC conducts basic and applied research in Chemicals, Polymers, Propellants and Materials for Space Applications. The selected candidates will be working in the fields of Pre-ceramic Polymers, Fibre-forming Polymers, Advanced Thermoplastics, Smart/ Intelligent Polymers, Nanomaterias/ Nanocomposites etc. under the guidance of Senior Scientists, which would lead to a Ph. D Degree.
