Ways to overcome failures in your careers

As the good old proverb has it ' Failure is the stepping stone for success'. Great achievers are those who tenaciously overcome their failure to pursue their dreams by being persistent and strategically overcoming the failures.

Recognition of Failures:
Failure recognition is the first step in overcoming failure. Failure is not final unless we make it final. Failures should be viewed as mileage makers on the road to success, not nails in a coffin. How we view failure is entirely a function of our attitude.

Failure review:
According to William.A.Ward 'Failure is our teacher not undertaker, Failure is temporary detour, not a dead end street. Failure is delay, not defeat'. Failure should be viewed as an opportunity to learn.
If failure touches us we should review the failure in order to learn and then try to repeat the task. The repetition could be made so that we learn more from our mistakes. But finally we will succeed. By reviewing the failure and making alterations we will be better equipped to face the task.

Weakness recognition:
From the failure review we should be able to identify the weakness that lead to the mistake. Once the weakness is identified it should be corrected using self-discipline. The weakness could be physical or psychological and overcoming it is a mind war we fight within ourselves. When we succeed in the fight, we can be satisfied that we persevered and did not let in personal failures cause defeat.

Readjusting efforts:
We can't repeat the same flawed process again and again and expect different results. Our efforts ought to be readjusted. We should not allow the shortcomings to get the better of us. We should adjust ourselves to reach for success.

Getting back to the game:
Once the analysis is over and adjustments have been made it is necessary to reenter the game. Else we won’t get the opportunity to succeed. IT is always better to make mistakes and learn from them while trying out new things than just not trying out anything new.

Hi Rafi,

This is really more informative one. It slightly resembles like a software life cycle. By using this we can judge our own status. Thanks for contributing it to ISC.
