International Conference On MEMS 2009
In recent years, MEMS has emerged as a major area of interest in India. In particular, this has been a successful interdisciplinary research programme at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), one of the premier technology institutes in India. IITM is stepping into its 50th year on 31 July, 2008. As part of the year long Golden Jubilee celebrations, we are organising an International Conference on MEMS (ICMEMS 2009) in Chennai, India from 3 - 5 January, 2009. The main objective of this conference is to provide a forum for researchers to interact and exchange information about their activities in the area of MEMS. Your participation is solicited to make this conference a great success.
The conference will consist of plenary/invited talks by eminent researchers in the field. We also invite original technical papers in all areas pertaining to design, fabrication and applications of MEMS for oral and poster presentations.The main topics to be covered, but not limited to, are:
Design, Modelling and Simulation of MEMS devices
Materials, Fabrication and Processes
Testing, Reliability and Packaging
Applications of MEMS: RF MEMS, Optical MEMS, BioMEMS, etc.
Emerging trends
Nano-electro-mechanical devices and systems
Nanophotonics
Important Dates
Abstract Submission : July 15th, 2008
Notification of Acceptance : August 15th, 2008
Submission of camera ready papers : October 15th, 2008
Instructions for submission of Extended Abstract
Extended Abstract can have a maximum of two pages with the first page reserved for text and the second page for only figures. Please make sure there is no text(apart from figure captions) on the second page of the paper.
The first page should contain title in 14 pts. Bold and text in 11 point - both in Times New Roman. Page dimensions correspond to A4 size, left and right margins are 2.54 cm each, top and bottom margins are 1.25 cm and 2.54 cm respectively. Please upload your paper in Word or PDF format Here.
Underline the presenting author and make sure that the email address of the contact author is provided The text should consist of two sections ? Motivation: to describe the Background of your work citing references at the bottom of the page using footnotes. The second section should be Results: referring to figures on the second page. Figures on the second page can also be basic structures, device designs, etc. The full file size should not exceed 2 MB.
