Asian College of Journalism Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) is one of the country’s prestigious institutes in the field of media studies. The college is dedicated to the task of producing such journalists who can work both in the field of print and electronic media. It is a postgraduate college designed to provide students with world-class journalism education adapted to the specific needs of India and other developing countries in Asia. It seeks to prepare its graduates to achieve the highest standards in all branches of the profession, keeping in focus the trend and thrust of convergence in the media, and the consequent demands for multiple skills made on the contemporary journalist.
For admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism course in ACJ, a candidate has to appear at an all India level entrance test conducted at various centres all over the country. The entrance examination is usually held in the month of May.
Eligibility Criteria - The minimum educational qualification for a candidate should be a college or university graduate in any discipline. Candidates awaiting result can also apply. Although most of the students admitted will be from India, the College expects to offer a certain number of seats to suitable candidates other parts of the globe including South Asia and other countries
Pattern of Entrance Examination - Short listing of application: At first the application forms of the candidates are short listed and are allowed for entrance examination.
Test Pattern - The examination will be in two parts: (a) to test the applicant’s English language skills and facility and (b) the awareness of current affairs and general knowledge. It will also test the candidates’ writing ability and assess their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Other procedures may be prescribed for candidates from abroad.
Applicants from India who have done well in the entrance examination will be invited to an interview at the College in mid-June. Up to 40 students will be finally selected for the Print Media stream, up to 30 for New Media, and up to 30 for the Television stream and up to 15 for the Radio stream.

Note: The venue for entrance examination may be further increased/decreased depemding upon the on the number of applications received from a particular region.
