Scientist L.C.Raghavan from CVRDE, Defence R&D Organisatin, Ministry of Defence, Avadi was honoured by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in recognition of his contributions to the development of tracked vehicles for Akash, Trishul and Nag missiles.
