Admission To M.Phil. /Ph.D.
M.Phil. /Ph.D. Entrance Test - 2008
The University will hold an Entrance Test for enrolment to M.Phil./ Ph.D. on 6th July 2008 (Sunday) in the following subjects: -
A) M.Phil. & Ph.D. Subjects: Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archeology, Economics, Gandhian Studies, Geography, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, English, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian, Geology, Physics, Statistics, Zoology and Physical Education
(B) Ph.D. only: Centre for Women Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sanskrit (VVBIS & IS, Hoshiarpur), Hindi, Tibetan/ Buddhist Studies, French, Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Environment Science, Microbiology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Education, UBS, Pharmacy, Fine Arts, Indian Theatre and Music
C ) M.Phil. only: Political Science, Centre for Defence & National Security Studies, Punjabi (Regional Centre Muktsar) and Botany
Enrolment for M.Phil. / Ph.D. at Dayanand & Vedic Studies, Swami Vivekanand Studies. Guru Nanak Sikh Studies and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies (SGGS) will be based on the Test in any subject from the Faculty of Arts / Languages.
The Prospectus (including application form) will be available w.e.f. 15th May 2008 (Thursday) on payment of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in CASH from the SBI Fee Counter, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh.
The Panjab University does not take responsibility for any postal delays or delay in delivery by Courier or by any other means of transmission or loss in transit, of the application form, under any circumstances.
Last date for receipt of Application Form: 9th June 2008 (Monday) upto 4.00 p.m.
