Application forms can also be obtained by post from Academy of Maritime Education and Training, 135 East Coast Road, Kanathur 603112, by sending a DD for Rs.500 favouring, AMET payable at Chennai.

M.B.A. Shipping & Logistics Management-2 years.
Any degree from a recognized University with 50 % marks. (OR)
Mariners holding the following professional qualifications obtained after a minimum duration of study-cum-training of six years after 10 + 2 leading to.
a) Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency
b) First Class Motor or Steam or Combined (Chief Engineer) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or its counterparts in other countries.

M.Tech Marine Engineering Management-2 years
Candidates possessing Master FG / MOT 1st Class Engineer certificates of competency and with 2 years of sailing experience as Chief Officer / 2nd Engineer.

Note: Candidates may pre-apply on line through our website www.ametuniv.ac.in. If successful at entrance tests and interviews, medical examination, will be carried out, at AMET Kanathur, by a doctor appointed by AMET, duly approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India. The total cost of Medical Examination is RS 1500/-, which is to be born by the candidate. Results of medical examination will be declared one day after Laboratory tests and X-rays are taken. Candidates will also be required to pass the Merchant Marine Personality Evaluation Test conducted by Director General of Shipping at NIPM, Uthandi by paying Rs. 100 as fees for this test.
Candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Chennai during entry formalities. The entire selection procedure is expected to take between 2 to 3 days, between 25th May to 27th May 2008.
Candidates must produce Original Mark Sheets (10th and 12th) Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate on arrival at AMET for tests and interviews.

Appear directly for In-house assessments and medicals (own expense) being conducted at Campus.

Candidates successful in the tests and interviews will be sent for medical examination (at own expense)prior to admission..
