Google Most Visited US Website. Obviously According to data provided by comScore

oogle is once again the most visited US website with no less than 141,000,000 unique visitors, according to a research conducted by comScore. The Sunnyvale-based
company Yahoo came the second with approximately 140,610,000 visitors while the Microsoft sites accounted the third position with 121,213,000 visitors. It's interesting to see that other popular services were placed on lower positions and some of them were not even included in the top 10 companies ranking made by comScore.
For instance, Facebook, a very popular social network, was placed on the 14th position with 35,652,000 unique visitors. Moreover, the sites belonging to Ask Network, including the search services which should compete with Google, accounted the 9th position with 54,086,000 visitors. Please note that all the above numbers are statistics concerning April 2008 and include visitors from home, work and university locations.
"April was a very active month. Google took the top property position, thanks to continued search growth and rapid growth at YouTube," commented Jack Flanagan, executive vice president of comScore Media Metrix. "The significant traffic growth at tax sites, which began in January, reached a crescendo by the tax filing deadline on April 15 as taxpayers sought information, forms, and online filing facilities. The return of the network television programs after the writers strike sent fans to a variety of sites to get information on their favorite shows, catch up on episodes they may have missed, get refreshed on plotlines, and to stream new episodes."
Pharmacy proved to be quite a serious attraction in April 2008 as it recorded no less than 18,105,000 visitors, an 8 percent increase compared to March 2008. The retail-food category also grew up with 8 points as it reached no less than 16,234,000 unique visitors last month from 15,097,000 in March 2008.
