Some of the suggestions that you must remember to make your presentation effective:

Practice before the the Day
Always practice your presentation before the the Day. This would help you avoid the common mistakes while giving the oration for the first time.
Write down your speech
It is always safer to write down your speech or at least the pointers. These notes will be extremely helpful when you forget your key notes. In such a situation, simply go back to your notes and pick up from where you left. Avoid reading from your notes throughout. It will leave a bad impression on your audience as they might think you have not prepared enough for the presentation.

Memorize your oration
A good presenter is the one who does not read from the notes. Learning your speech by heart would make your lecture sound natural and give you the liberty to add in a few extra points according to the situation.

Check out the presentation room
Make it a habit to inspect the room before you go in for the actual lecture. This way you will be able to avoid any unwanted surprises in your first lecture.

Keep your calm and go with the flow. Do not over stress or relax your nerves.

These are some presentation tips that will surely help you make the lecture a better experience for you and your audience as well.

Hi Arun,

Thanks for your useful tips for the presentation.

Usually many people have stage fear. Even I have.

Even though, they are familiar with the things, they don't want to express on front of people, due to this stage fear.

As you rightly told, prepare a notes on the important points to be remembered is very essential. The note should contain all attractive / fluent words which will give more marks to the presentation.

Even though we think that, we can add attractive words during our direct lecture on the stage, it is not possible to add that time. Because stress may make us to forget all other points except noted points. Hence it is very much required to note all the points in the notes and practice every time as it is final.

It’s right that our noted points are helping steps to succeed in the presentation, but not walk way. Means we should not read as it is in the notes. We have to see the notes to take few points where we missed to add in our presentation.

Regards.
Jyothi.

Hi,
Thank you Jyothi for your valuable response. To reduce stress during presentation practice is the solution. There are some books in which excercises are given to improve presentation skills.
Make a group of friends and try these excercises it will definitely help.

Regards
Arun.
