One day National Workshop On ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Adverse impact of industrialization on the environment is well recognized and environmental sustainability is the major issue in any technology. In the present day circumstances, no technology development will get accepted if it fails to address the ecological and environmental concerns.
The pollutants arising from various industrial activities and the generated wastes not only affect mankind, but also lead to significant effects on biodiversity. This workshop addresses various aspects of the pollutants in terrestrial and acquatic environments, their risk factors, methods of contrlling the pollutants / wastes and their disposal. Workshop also proves awareness on the need to maintain biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES This workshop is being organised by SRM University in association with Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Kalpakkam, to celebrate the World Environmental Day and to create Awareness about the environment.
Hands on training on H2O Quality Analysis Physical Chemical and Biological including Coliform Count are also planned in parallel sessions.

The number of participants will be limited to 30. No TA/DA shall be paid. Outstation delegates may request for accommodation, in advance.
RESOURCE PERSONS A well recognized Senior Scientists of International repute from NEERI, IGCAR, BARC, Faculty members of SRM University, and Guest faculty mainly from institutions like IISc, IIT, NIT, Anna University, R & D organisations and Municipal Adminstrations will deliver lectures.
