PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
Teachers are the most vital component of the technical education system. In-service training of teachers for upgradation of their knowledge and
development of professional skills, therefore plays a vital role in the development of technical education system. All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE) has initiated the process to full fill this requirement for technical teachers. AICTE has provided the guidelines to the recognized
institutes for conducting the short term courses in different specialized areas for these faculty members for knowledge upgradation. In this context, the computer engineering department of S. V. National Institute of Technology is organizing the short term training programme on Computer Vision and Image Processing (CVIP). The advancement in the technology and growth of multi-media industry has led the enormous amount of development and research in the areas of
Computer Vision and Image Processing. Renowned professors and researchers in these
TOPICS
Image Enhancement, Image Compression, Image Formation, Stereo, Optical Flow, Depth from Optical Flow, Shape from Shading Structure from Motion, Super Resolution, Image Analysis, Pattern Recognition and Classification, Markov Random Field, Feature Extractions, Tracking, Applications. The content of the STTP is not limited to the topics listed here. It is a summary of the different topics that will be covered during STTP.

Faculty Members from AICTE recognized institutes are eligible for this STTP.

Registration Fees
There is no registration fee for the STTP for Faculty / Teachers of AICTE recognized institutes. The application of the candidate should reach on or
before 30th June 2008 with sponsorship letter duly signed by the head of the institute to the following address. Public sector industries and other
organizations can depute their executives, managers and engineers to participate in the course. Such candidates are required to pay a course fee of Rs. 2500/- per participant.
