Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Organising Committee of IAPCON 2009, it is our proud privilege to welcome you all to join 16th International Conference of Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) which is scheduled to be held from 13th–15th February, 2009 at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) , New Delhi, India. The objective of the conference is to “Update Knowledge in Palliative Care” and the theme of the conference is "Freedom from Pain". The meeting has been planned to be a fountainhead of knowledge with a star-studded faculty of experienced luminaries from across the globe.
This is an opportunity for doctors, nurses and other health care professionals to have a overview in palliative care. Palliative care deals with treatment of pain and other distressing physical and emotional symptoms experienced by patients and families suffering from progressive illnesses like advanced cancer and HIV/AIDS with the sole aim of improving their quality of life.
As interventional pain management is fast evolving into a subspecialty of pain medicine, we are organising one day pre-conference hands-on cadaveric workshop in Interventional Pain Management techniques on 12th February, 2009. World renowned National and International faculties are joining us to conduct this workshop.
Please join in with your families, as they will have the opportunity to explore the most vibrant city of India during the coziest time of the year for the city. Delhi is a city of pleasant contradictions; a modern metropolis blossoming in the shadow of rich heritage.
We are taking all efforts to make your stay in Delhi a memorable one right from your arrival. We welcome you all once again for a grand scientific and cultural feast at Delhi!
Looking forward to your participation.
With warm regards,
Organising Committee IAPCON - 2009
