UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS – JULY 2008
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO ARE APPEARING FOR THE EXAMINATIONS IN OTHER COUNTRIES
(To be retained by the candidate)
Date of Commencement of Examinations: 19th July 2008
A form of Application for admission to the Examination is enclosed. The same may be filled in and sent before the last date.
1. Candidates are informed that their examination application form will be registered only if they have remitted the tuition fees and other fees in full. The applications of those who are in arrears will not be registered.
2. Application for admission to the examination must be forwarded by Registered post directly to the Controller of Examinations, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar-608 002, India so as to reach him not later than _____________________.
3. Attested copies of the Attendance Certificates issued by the Directorate of Distance Education for having attended the Compulsory Contact Seminars should be enclosed with the application form. Original certificates should not be sent unless called for. Those candidates who have not attended the compulsory contact seminar for which attendance is compulsory, are not eligible to appear for the examination.
4. A Demand Draft for the Examination Fee in US Dollars should be obtained in favour of the Controller of Examinations, Annamalai University payable at State Bank of India, Chidambaram or ICICI Bank, Annamalainagar or Indian Bank, Annamalainagar and enclosed with the Examination Application Form. Cheques will not be accepted.
5. Candidates should write their Name and Enrolment Number on the back side corner of the Demand Draft in Block Letters. They should not sign on the draft.
6. Examination fees: 15 US $ per paper or practical.
7. After publication of the results, the Statement of Marks and Provisional Certificate (for those eligible) will be sent to the candidates.
8. Candidates must write their name in full. If a change in the name has been recognized by the University, the name under which the candidate has already been enrolled in the University records should also be given.
9. Candidates are requested to give their address as complete as possible to ensure that any communication reaches them without delay.
10. Candidates must obtain their Hall-Tickets from the Chief Superintendents of the respective centres at which they are going to write their examination during the three days (working days) before the commencement of the examinations. Hall-Tickets will be issued only on production of the Identity Card issued by the Directorate.
