The Institute offers three programs based on course work: ME, M Tech and M Des. The Institute admits about 300 students every year for the course programs. The number includes about 45 sponsored candidates from Defence Services, Defence Research and Development Organisation, Indian Space Research Organisation, Faculty members from engineering colleges under Quality Improvement Program etc.
