BHM OBJECTIVES :
a. The primary objective of the BHM program is to impart a high level professional education & practical training, on par with international standards of hospitality, to meet the requirements for skilled and intelligent hotel executives and other personnel that exist worldwide.
b. After successful completion of the program, students should not only be able to effectively occupy high-level positions in the hotel industry, but also should be able to function to the best satisfaction of the guests.
c. To educate and impart the requisite training to enable students to self employ themselves in the hotel and affiliated industries.
Industrial Training:
BHM students shall undergo a six-month industrial training at any of the star hotels associated with the institute. Such internships shall take place during the summer vacation between the first and second year, second and third year, third and fourth year as per Bangalore University / AICTE requirements.
The practical on-the-job training is vital for unhindered progress in a service-oriented industry such as hospitality. Also, the apprenticeship counts as real world experience that can be capitalized on in future positions. Apart from the above, the students are also required to undergo additional practical training daily or on alternate days as the case may be; at any star hotel/restaurant, etc., as prescribed by the principal. The purpose of this training is to give you a consolidated conditioning for the rigors of the hotel industry.
