Ph D degree with the first classdegree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology 3 years experience in

Candidates from Industry/Profession with First Class Bachelor’s degree in the
appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology or First Class Master’s Degree in
the appropriate branch ofEngineering/Technology And Professional work which is
significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D degree and with 5 years
experience would also be eligible
2 Professor
Ph.D degree with First Class degree at Bachelors or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology 10 years experience in Teaching/Industry/ Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of
Assistant Professor and/or equivalent. Candidates from Industry/Profession with
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology and with professional work which
is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.
Note: If a class/division is not awarded at BE/ME/Equivalent Degree, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as given in Table appended. In the Discipline of Computer Science/Engineering/Technology in lieu of the “first class degree at Bachelors and /or Master level in the appropriate branch” a first class Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology together with a first class Bachelors Degree in any area of Engineering/Technology will be acceptable.
Age: Not more than 62 years as on 01.01.2008
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- (negotiable) and Rs. 15,000/- (negotiable) for Professor and Asst. Professor respectively.
