Certificate Course for Professional Development
(for SC/ST/OEC and Minorities included in OBC )
Centre for Research and Education for Social Transformation (CREST) having mentoring support from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode and the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore invites applications for five months Certificate Course for Professional Development (CCPD) from candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC and Minorities ( included in the OBC list of Kerala)
CCPD course has been designed to provide soft skills to enable candidates to compete for jobs in open market and for higher studies. The CREST, formerly the Centre of Excellence – Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has conducted ten CCPD programmes since 2002 and a large number of the alumni are now employed in reputed firms in India and abroad. A number of them are also pursuing higher studies in universities in India and outside.
The five months course comprises of training in Personality Development,
Communication, IT, Quantitative & Analytical skills and Entrepreneurship Development.
Out of the forty seats available for the course, 28 are reserved for SC, 8 for ST and 4 for OEC / Minorities. Admission is based on Degree level marks, entrance test and interview. Masters/ Professional Degree holders will be given preference. If eligible candidates from OEC/Minority classes are not available, the seats will be filled up by eligible SC candidates. Selected candidates will be given a monthly stipend of Rs.3000/-.
Maximum age limit for application is 30 years as on July 01, 2008.
Application with copies of certificates proving (i) Date of Birth (ii) Caste (iii) Degrees (iv) Mark sheets of Degree and PG Examinations (of all years) and a passport size photograph should reach the Executive Director, CREST, KIRTADS Campus, Chevayur P.O, Kozhikode–673 017 on or before June 28 , 2008.
Only candidates from Kerala need apply. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Only short- listed candidates will be contacted for entrance test and interview.
