NOTIFICATION
Applications in the prescribed fonus are invited from qualified candidates for
appointment to the post of UNIVERSITY ENGINEER, in the University of Calicut.
1. Educational Qualifications
1) Degree in Civil Engineering.
2) Experience in Civil Engineering,
Design, Construction and administration over a period of not
less than 15years.
Note:- Persons holding the posts equivalent to that of
Executive Engineer or above in State or Central PvVD/State
or Central Government undertakinglQllasi Government
Establishments will be considered on contract/deputation
basis.
(Persons retired or in service in any of the services
. mentioned herewith who are below 60 years of age will also
be considered for appointment on contract basis).
2. Scale of Pay
Rs. 23200 - 31150 (revised)
3. Age (as on 01.01.2008)
Between 40 and 50 years (usual relaxation of age in the case
of SC/ST candidates will be allowed)
4. Nature of Vacancy
Open, Temporary (Leave Vacancy)
5. Cost of Application
Rs. 100/- (Rs. 25/- for SC/ST candidates)
6. Application Fee
Rs. 500/- (SC/ST candidates need remit Rs. 125/- as application fee)
Application form can be had from the Deputy Registrar (Administration) University of Calicut, Calicut University P.O., 673 635, on request and on payment of Rs.100/- (Rs. 25/- for / SC/ST candidates towards the cost of application form) along with self addressed sufficiently stamped envelope. The cost of application form and application fee should be remitted separately to the Calicut University Fund Accounts as given below:
For remittance in the Kerala State Treasuries in Malappuram District 8443 - 00 - 106 PD
Account of Calicut University.
For treasuries in other Districts of Kerala State 8658 - 00 - 10296 (02) CUS.
The cost of form and fee for application can be remitted at the cash counter at Pareeksha Bhavan, Calicut University Campus, and Jana Sevana Kendras in all Districts of Kerala also.
Candidates residing outside Kerala State can remit the amount by way of Demand
Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Calicut University payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut University Branch, Malappuiram District, Kerala. Completed applications accompanied by attested copies (six sets each) of testimonials to prove age, qualification and experience along with Chalan receipt/Demand Draft towards application fee should reach the Deputy Registrar (Admn.) University of Calicllt, Calicut University P.O., Malappuram District - 673 635 on or before 28-06-2008.
Incomplete and late applications will not be entertained.
The cover containing the application form should be superscribed "Application for the post of University Engineer".
The University reserves the right for the cancellation of proceedings as per this notification without assigning any reason thereof.
