at Pilani campus, Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus
Instructions for Applying Online
This online application is to be used only by those candidates who have appeared/appearing in BITSAT-2008 and have passed/passing 12th Examination in 2008 or 2007 .
1. Read the Admissions Modality carefully and make sure that you fulfill the Eligibility Criteria for admissions.
2. Candidates who have appeared in Mathematics in BITSAT-2008 are eligible to apply to all the programmes offered. However, candidates who have appeared in Biology in BITSAT-2008 are eligible to apply to programmes in Pharmacy and Biological Sciences only.
3. There will be two application forms: Form-FES and Form-FPB
FES: For applying to all degree programmes other than B.Pharm. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Hons.) Biological Sciences.
FPB: For applying to B.Pharm.(Hons.) and M.Sc.(Hons.) Biological Sciences.
Depending on the eligibility criteria, you can fill (i) Form FPB only (ii) Form FES only or (iii) both FES and FPB forms, application fee of Rs.200/- has to be send through DD/Challan along with each application form.
4. There are 3 parts to be filled online. Part I gives your personal details . Part II asks for your 12th examination result details with subject-wise marks. In Part III you will be asked to give your preferences to the different degree programmes offered, in the order of your preference. (Form FES will have 35 degree programs listed and Form FPB will have 5 degree programs listed.)
5. If you are opting to fill both the forms FES and FPB , you will be asked to give the priority amongst these two. The preferences to the programs in your second form will be in continuation to the preferences given by you in the first priority form.
6. Once you enter these details and confirm, you will not be able to change them. Therefore, you are advised to prepare yourself with the above data before proceeding to applying Online. You can click here to see the sample pages which you have to fill, so that you can prepare yourself with the required information.
7. If the demand draft is not ready while applying online, you can enter the details in printed form later, before sending the same to the Institute.
8. If the 12th examination results are not available at present, you can fill the other particulars and take a print out of the form and send the same to the Institute. However, you have to login again as soon as the results are available, enter the details and take a fresh printout of the form and send the same to the Institute before the deadline. Write on the top of the application form "Original form already submitted. 12th Mark details being submitted now". There is no need to send another demand draft.
9. After filling and confirming the data entered by you, the final print out page will be displayed. You have to take a print out of the application and send the same along with the enclosures to 'The Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani - 333 031' by registered post or speed post so as to reach him on or before 5:00 PM on 30th June 2008. If you have filled both the FES and FPB forms, you have to send them together in the same envelop accompanied by separate application fee.
