The Intangibles
We believe that it is the intangibles that shape the personality and enable development of the personal skills necessary to market oneself in a competitive environment. It has become imperative for management professionals to increase their individual and group based effectiveness so that they present their best to potential employees. This calls for a different emphasis. The teaching methodology adopted here at SNGIST integrates and builds upon the work of core curriculum. It emphasises the importance of learning by the student rather than just teaching provided by facilitators The pedagogy is such that it has the right mix of lecturing and experiential learning which includes case studies, role plays, industrial projects, simulation games, presentations etc.
Placements and Career development
What we aim at is to make our students "future ready";so that they are able to critically assess their performance and through continuous improvement, reach their career benchmarks once they are in the real corporate world. A dedicated and fully equipped placement cell takes care of this. Students, right from the beginning of their course are exposed to various elements of personal development and planning, transferable skills assessment,industry interaction activities and are guided in selecting the right career path.
The activities of placement cells include
Assessments of individual interests and core strengths.
Honing the individual skills in chosen field through panel discussions, conferences, workshops etc.
Assisting the students in final placements and field training.
Industry Interface
Our presence in the industrial belt of Kerala gives us an advantage of constant interaction with the corporate world, which benefits us in terms of in-plant trainings, workshops, seminars, research projects and guest lectures for our students.
Personality Development
When it comes to performing in the corporate world what matters is the ability of the student to develop the personal skills that are indispensable in the workplace and how effectively you project it. Hence, we give special emphasis to the personality development of our students. At SNGIST one day of the week is dedicated to the conduct of activities like psychological tests, case analysis, presentations, role-plays and sensitivity analysis that aim towards an overall enhancement of the individual personality.
Yoga and Meditation
Healthy body and healthy mind contributes towards an individual's personal as well as professional success. We want our students to excel not only in their career but also in their respective personal lives. Every day at SNGIST starts with a session of yoga and meditation.

SNGIST is located on a sylvan campus with plush greenery, landscaped gardens terraced walkways and fully functional courts for basketball and badminton with the objective of meeting the recreational and relaxation needs of a 350 strong campus.
Located at Thekkethazham, 3km from North Paravur, it is accessible from both national highways NH47 and NH17. It is about 17km from Cochin International Airport, 10km from Aluva Town and 15 km from Angamaly.
