Call for Papers We are delighted to announce the seventeenth annual symposium on Processing and Fabrication of Advanced Materials (PFAM XVII) being hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (India) from 15-17 December 2008.
This unique multidisciplinary symposium allows people in different research organizations/educational institutions and industries to discuss and understand the recent advances in the processing and manufacturing technologies of emerging engineering materials. This symposium will thus enable the contributors to present and discuss their research on the latest advances and newly emerging techniques and its future impact on the processing and manufacturing industries in the key areas of metals, plastics, composites, ceramics and biomaterials alike.
We invite you, on behalf of the PFAM XVII team, to submit high quality original abstracts in any of the symposium topics and related fields. The submitted abstracts will be thoroughly reviewed by the peers committee and the selected abstract authors will be invited to submit a full length written paper as per the designed format for either an oral or a poster presentation during the symposium.
The symposium will be a memorable platform for researchers to share their views on any of the following major themes: Advanced Polymer Systems Biomaterials & Biocomposites Ceramic Matrix Composites Ceramics Fuel Cell Materials Hydrogen Storage Materials Intermetallic Matrix Composites Magnetic Materials Metal Matrix Composites Nano Composites Nano-structured Metallic & Non-Metallic Materials Polymer Matrix Composites Semiconductor Materials Structural & Functional Intermetallics Superconducting Materials Surface Coatings The selected papers will be compiled and published in the annual bound volume of PFAM XVII proceedings along with a CD and a souvenir of selected abstracts. The proceedings will be available to all the registered candidates and sponsored delegates.
Abstracts submitted for consideration should be roughly 100-150 words in length and detail the following:- (a) The proposed title of the paper. (b) The significance of the research.
