Malayalee Engineers' Association
The Malayalee Engineers' Association of Houston, TX is a professional, non profit and non political organization of engineering graduates of Malayalee origin.
The organization provides a forum and a platform to get together, professionally and socially, discuss topics of mutual interest and concerns, and finds ways to promote growth.
The association will positively impact the development of the members' children by being a positive role model and is trying to establish contacts and work towards common goals and objectives in helping the community.
It will act as a repository for information on professional opportunities in the United States and in India.

Scholarship Information
MEA started a scholarship program in 2000 to help students in Kerala pursue engineering, technology, computer science, or naval architecture studies leading to a Bachelor's Degree.
We have awarded 27 scholarships in the past few years.
The award is for $500 (revised amount for awards from 2007) per year for up to 4 years provided the awardee maintains the high academic standard set by MEA and is based on a merit-cum-means criteria (academic quality and financial need).
Scholarship Applications for 2007
MEA is now accepting applications for Scholarships for 2007
from eligible first year engineering students enrolled in an undergraduate program (Bachelor's Degree) affiliated with a university in Kerala.
All Scholarship Winners are expected to be in regular communication with the Scholarship Coordinator via email and update MEA with required documents and information throughout the four years at college.
