ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
MVJCE has been offering 2 year MBA Program (Affiliated to V.T.U) since year 2000 has tailored the management education with a key strategic focus on the present and future needs of the multinational Organizations. The MBA program offered by MVJCE with the present intake of 60 students is designed for future leaders of organization who conduct business beyond national boundaries. Marketing, Finance and HRM are offered as specialization streams and there are plans to offer Banking and Insurance as well as International Business as additional specialization streams.
In order to gain competitive edge, large corporations around the world have globalize their operations to a large extent in areas like material sourcing, financing, manufacturing and marketing. Advances in technology have further accelerated the globalization process.
Globalization of industries calls for a high degree of leadership qualities than mere managerial skills. The traditional concept of management education and training through classroom media has totally become obsolete. There has been paradigm shift in the focus regarding the management education. New methods of training techniques are evolved to suit the present needs of the industry. A highly practical oriented approach has been adopted thereby equipping the infrastructure and resource persons to face the new challenges.
The course helps in inculcating functional business skills through study of Economics, Finance, Marketing, Marketing Research, and Quantitative methods, Human Resource Management, Production Management. Computer applications etc., all of which have a global perspective. They are also exposed to real life situation through Inplant training for a month and Project Work for 6 weeks in reputed organizations.
MVJ's main mission is to build the future Leaders and to create world-class professionals in the field of management. The trained management youths who fly out from MVJ are real differentiators who put action into their work, grow up as young leaders across the organization exhibiting differences in their management actions and build a new organizational culture. It aims at training students to be value - oriented and professionally competent to suit the emerging global trends. The MBA program is engaged in training youths, strengthening the existing management process and building a greater degree of professionalism among them.
A dedicated and professional group of faculty Dr. G Ananthapadmanabhan as Professor and Head is instrumental in the functioning of MBA department. Our students have been consistently performing well academically and are getting good placements in reputed organizations within the country and abroad. Our student M Santosh of 2002 batch secured 9th rank in VTU, our student V P Ramya of 2003 batch secured 2nd rank in VTU.
