Admissions


The Institute offers Dual degree 5 years and 4-year B.Tech. programme to which admission is made through a Joint Entrance Examination conducted on an All India level. Admissions are also made to the 24 months M.Tech. programme once or twice a year. This is open to candidates with a B.Tech. degree in relevant disciplines. A valid GATE score is a prerequisite to enter the M.Tech. program. Candidates with an M.Tech. degree can proceed to a Ph.D. following an interview in their area of interest.

The Institute also offers 5-year Integrated M.Sc programme to which admission is made through the Joint Entrance Examination. A limited number of admissions are also made to the 2-year M.Sc. programme which is open to those who have obtained the B.Sc degree in relevant disciplines. Admissions are made for Ph.D. through GATE/UGC/CSIR and an interview in the area of interest.

A 2-year MBA programme has been introduced in the Institute. Selection of candidates for this programme is based on JMET.
