Centre for Converging Technologies Entrance Test-2008 (CCTET-2008)
CCTET-2008 for admission to Five Year Integrated Ten Semester Dual Degree BTech. - M. Tech. in the four streams of Converging Technologies
CCTET-2008 will be of total 3 hrs duration (without break). The test will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions with choice of four answers, only one being correct answer. Each correct answer fetches three marks and one mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Multiple answers will be treated as wrong and one mark will be deducted. The test paper will comprise of Four Section each containing 50 questions. The syllabi of sections (A) Physics, (B) Chemistry, (C) Mathematics and (D) Biology are available on website. The candidate will be required to attempt sections (A) and (B) and either (C) Mathematics or (D) Biology. There is no time limit for individual section of the question.

CCTET Result and Merit List for admission:
The result and merit list of CCTET 2008 will be displayed on July 07, 2008 at 2:00 PM on notice board at the Centre for Converging Technologies. The candidate will be called for counselling on the basis of their merit position in the respective category. The candidates will be required to appear in counselling to be held on July 10, 2008 at their own expenses. At the time of counselling the candidate must bring all documents in original and Photostat copies and four passport size photograph along with a bank draft of Rs. 24000/- (Twenty four thousand Rupees) drawn in favour of Director, Centre for Converging Technologies and payable at Jaipur towards first semester fee. The candidates will be required to purchase the University Prospectus 2008-09 and fill in the application form and submit the same along with the other fees applicable as per University Prospectus by July 14, 2008. The first semester classes will start from July 14, 2008.

Eligibility:
For admission to First Semester of 5-year (10 Semester) Integrated Dual Degree BTech. - MTech. in the Four Streams of Converging Technologies, A student who has passed the Senior Secondary (XII) Examination of Central Board of Secondary Education or any other Examination recognized as equivalent there to or higher with science subjects with 60% marks for General/OBC and pass for SC/ST category shall be eligible to appear at the CCT Entrance Test to be conducted by the Center for Converging Technologies every year for admission to First Semester M. Tech. in Converging Technologies Examination.
Students who are appearing for XII examination in the year will also be eligible to appear in CCTET that year, however, their eligibility for admission is subjected to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in XII examination. NRI quota students are exempted from appearing in the Test. The candidates are required to satisfy themselves that they fulfill the minimum educational qualification. If at any later stage they are found deficient in these qualifications their admissions even if made will stand automatically cancelled.
Seats: 120 + 15% NRI Quota Reservation as per University rules.
How To Apply:
Interested candidates should apply for CCTET-2008 in one of the following modes.
Online Submission:
Complete the application form Online at http://earxiv.uniraj.ernet.in/cctonline/index.html and take the printout of the filled form. The candidate will be required to make entry about the bank draft of Rs. 1000 procured by them for submission towards CCTET-2008 fee. the draft must be drawn in the name of Director, Centre for Converging Technologies and payable at Jaipur. The candidate will also be required to upload a digital passport size picture in jpeg format. In case they don’t have digital picture available then they can affix their recent passport size photograph on the printout of filled form. The completed application form along with the copy of mark sheet of XII examination, certificate to claim reservation and bank draft should be sent to Director, Centre for Converging Technologies, University of Rajasthan, and Jaipur-302055 so as to reach latest by June 28, 2008 up to 4:00 PM. The applications made online will be automatically stand rejected if the completed application form is not submitted before the deadline as mentioned above. The candidates are advised to keep a Photostat copy of printout of the duly filled application form.

Download the application form. Take a printout on plain A4 size paper. The candidate must procure a bank draft of Rs. 1000 towards CCTET-2008 fee drawn in favour of Director, Centre for Converging Technologies and payable at Jaipur. Complete the application form and submit the completed application form along with the copy of mark sheet of XII examination, certificate to claim reservation and the bank draft should be sent to Director, Centre for Converging Technologies, University of Rajasthan, and Jaipur-302055 so as to reach latest by June 28, 2008 up to 4:00 PM. The incomplete application or those submitted after the deadline will be automatically stand rejected. The candidates are advised to keep a Photostat copy of printout of the duly filled application form.
