I am very glad here to share my interview experience in Hewlett-Packard.
First day, I cleared my aptitude written test successfully by getting 50% marks.
Aptitude test contains 30 question, in that 10 was numerical questions, 10 was general knowledge questions and 10 was job related questions.
Let us move on to HR interview, I was the second person they called,
I moved on to the room, a lady HR manager ask me to took the seat.
I had taken my seat and showed my resume .
After receiving my resume she asked, “Don’t you greet the interviewer?”
I was shocked and get sweated. She laughed at me and told “No Problem”.
These are the things she asked at me on HR interview.
HR:OKAY BHARATH,TELL ME SOME THING ABT U
ME: I FINISHED MY DEGREE IN K.C.S COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE, I HAVE ONE ELDER BROTHER AND YOUNGER BROTHER. MY FATHER IS A BUSINESS AND MY MOM IS HOUSE WIFE.
HR: TELL SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR BROTHERS.
ME: MY ELDER BROTHER IS WORKING AS HR MANAGER IN MANPOWER SOLUTION AND YOUNGER BROTHER DOING HIS COLLEGE.
HR: DO YOU REMEMBER THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN APTITUDE PAPER?
ME:NO MADAM.
HR:HOW IS YOUR PAPER
ME :NOT SO EASY MADAM
THEN SHE GAVE A PAPER AND ASKED ME TO CREATE SOMETHING WITH THAT PAPER.
I MADE THAT PAPER INTO TWO AND I MADE ONE ROCKET AND ONE SHIP.
THEN SHE GAVE ME A SITUATION.
1. IF U MEET UR PAST TEACHER MEANS, U ARE INTRODUCING URSELF BUT HE/SHE FORGET YOU. HOW WILL BE YOUR REACTION
THIS WAS THE SITUATION SHE GAVE, I ANSWERED “ I WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN MORE ABOUT ME EVENTHOUGH SHE/HE CANT ABLE TO RETRIEVE ME MEANS I LEFT HIM/HER. AND MAKE A MOVE WITH HAPPINESS OF MEETING A PAST TEACHER.
HR: HOW MUCH SALARY YOU ARE EXPECTING FROM THIS COMPANY?
ME:12,000-15,000
HR: ARE YOU CAPABLE OF GETTING THAT?
ME: NO DOUBT ON IT.
HR: OKAY BHARATH, WE WILL MEET IN HP.
I WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE OF THOSE WORDS FROM HR.
I JOINED AS NORMAL PROCESSOR BUT NOW I AM A PRODUCTION LEAD BECAUSE OF MY HARDWORK.
SO, WORK HARD AND GET THE RESULT.
