The 10th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking, ICDCN 2009, will be held during January 3-6, 2009 in Hyderabad, India. The conference is being organized by Center for Security Theory and Algorithmic Research , International Institute of Information Technology. Over the years, ICDCN has become a leading forum for disseminating the latest research results in distributed computing and networking.

Paper Submission Deadline : July 14, 2008

Notification of Acceptance : September 15, 2008

Camera-ready Paper Due : October 13, 2008

Early Registration Deadline : November 30, 2008

Conference : January 3-6, 2009

Scope


Technical papers describing original, previously unpublished results are solicited in all areas of theory and practice of distributed systems and networking. As in the past, ICDCN 2009 will be organized in two tracks: Distributed Computing and Networking. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:


Distributed Computing Track

Communication and Synchronization Protocols
Distributed Algorithms and Architectures, their Analysis and Complexity
Distributed Operating Systems, Middleware, Databases
Experiments and Performance Measurements in Distributed Systems
Fault-tolerance, Self-stabilization, Autonomic Computing
High Performance, Cluster and Grid Computing
Multiprocessor and Multi-core Architectures and Algorithms
Security in Distributed Systems
Shared and Transactional Memory, Concurrent Programming
Specification, Debugging, and Verification of Distributed Systems


Networking Track

Wireless Networks, Cellular Networks, and Wireless LANs
Sensor Networks, Ad Hoc Networks, and Mesh Networks
Mobile and Pervasive Computing
Overlay and Peer-to-Peer Networks
Integration of Heterogeneous Wireless and Wired Networks
Internetworking Protocols and Internet Applications
Network Reliability, Security and Privacy
Resource Management and Quality of Service
Performance Modeling and Evaluation
Traffic Engineering, Pricing, Network Management


PAPER SUBMISSION

A submission should report on original, previously unpublished research not being concurrently considered elsewhere for publication in a journal or conference. Papers should not exceed twelve single-spaced pages using at least 11-point fonts and one-inch margins on all sides on A4/Letter size pages, including references, figures, tables etc. All papers must be submitted electronically through the submissions link in the conference website. Like the previous years, Springer is expected to publish the conference proceedings with accepted papers in the LNCS series. Some papers that are judged to have limited merit may be accepted as short papers, with up to six pages in the proceedings. At the time of submission, authors should indicate if they wish to submit to Distributed Computing or Networking track, and also if they wish to have their paper considered as a short paper if it is not accepted as a full paper. At least one author of each accepted paper must register, attend the conference and present the paper.


BEST PAPER AWARD

ICDCN 2009 will have two Best Paper Awards, one for each track. The Program Committee may decline to make an award.
