UNCTAD India Programme Training Workshop in Trade Modeling and Methodology
Objective of the workshop:-
In recent times international trade in commodities, services, capital and technology has become significant part of the macro economics of many developing economies. As globalization and openness in trade increases interdependence of the economy is also increasing there fore there is a need to analyze the performance and influence/impact of foreign trade sector on macro economy as well as sub sectors there in.
Duration of the workshop:-
Duration of the workshop is 21 days and will be held at Department of Economics, University of Allahabad from August 5 to 28, 2008.
Eligibility:-
The teachers of University and Post graduate colleges (involved in teaching / Research in International Economics) guest faculty in the University Departments, researchers working as research associates, research fellows and bonafied research scholars in the University Departments are eligible to apply.
How to apply:-
Applicants desirous of attending the workshop must have exposure to mathematical economics. Applicants should apply giving complete information about educational qualification, postal, e-mail and contact numbers along with brief description of the research area that they wish to pursue and methodology being used. Complete application forms must reach to Prof. Alka Agarwal HOD, Department of Economics, University of Allahabad by post or by mail. E-mail – dralkaagarwal@gmail.com By July 15, 2008.
At the time of their advent the participants should produce NOC from their employer or Department.
