LIST OF CANDIDATES SELECTED FOR ADMISSION UNDER FOREIGN NATIONALS CATEGORY
YEAR-2008
The following candidates are provisionally selected for admission in the B.A.LL.B. (Honours) Degree Programme under the foreign nationals category:
1. Mr. Mukut Chhatterjee Canada
2. Ms. Yashasavi Datta Canada
The above candidates are advised to report at the University premises at HNLU Bhawan, Civil Lines, Raipur (C.G.) in on 01.07.2008 (Between 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.) to complete the admission formalities. The candidate seeking admission must not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2008, as on 1st July, 2008. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks in the core subjects and English language put together.
The candidates are essentially required to bring the following documents in original while reporting for admission along with attested copies of all the certificates in two sets:

10th, 12th class marks statements and pass certificates.
(2)
Character Certificate issued by the Principal of the School in which the candidate has passed +2 Examinations
(3)
Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended
(4)
Birth Certificate
(5)
Original Passport
In addition to the above, the following are essentially required for completing admission formalities:

An affidavit in the format given below duly sworn in by the parents and notarized by Notary Public.

Five recent colour passport size photographs

D.D. for US Dollar 6000 and INR Rs.54000 drawn in favour of "Registrar, H.N.L.U., Raipur" payable at Raipur towards Fees. (This does not include the mess charges but includes Rs.25000/- towards refundable Caution Money). Detailed fee structure is appended which is subject to revision from time to time.

A Medical Fitness Certificate from a medical authority not below the rank of District Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon. The admissions are made provisionally on the basis of the certificate produced.
After verifying the original certificates, necessary documents, counselling and after satisfying all eligibility conditions, the University would offer admission to the candidates.
The students who take admission would present themselves at the Halls of Residence of the University by July 1st, 2008, 5.00 p.m.; the University will arrange for the transportation of the students to the Halls of Residence from the University. The orientation for the new batch of students would start at 9.30 a.m. on 3rd July 2008.
Being a Residential University, all students including local students are required to stay in the Halls of Residence of the University during the academic year. Separate hostels have been arranged both for girls and boys. The University provides furniture required for the boarding. Mess facilities are also made available through contractors.
Accommodation provided in the Halls of Residence would include a bare cot, a table and a chair. Other necessary things of day to day use and mattresses, pillows, bed sheets etc. have to be brought by the students.
On all formal occasions and Moot Court appearances, Dress Code in the University has to be followed. For such occasions black pants, white shirts, black shoes, black tie and black coat is a must. Students are required to follow the dress code on the date of orientation i.e. 3rd July 2008. For other occasions, students are expected to wear modest and sober dress befitting the standards and discipline of the University.

AFFIDAVIT
(To be sworn in by Parent of the candidate)
I S/o. R/o. hereby solemnly state and affirm as under:

That my son/daughter Mr./Ms. _____________________________________ has sought admission in the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and provisionally admitted in the University.
2.
That my son/daughter/ward is neither suffering from any incurable disease that would directly hinder courses of studies in this University nor he/she is a drug addict. I shall not have any grievance in removal of my son/daughter in case if this statement is found incorrect at any stage.
3.
The Hidayatullah National Law University being a Residential University, I have no objection for my son/daughter to stay in the Halls of Residence as long as he/she is pursuing his/her studies in the University.
4.
I shall make all efforts to see that the Rules of Conduct of the University are obeyed by my son/daughter, and I am prepared to accept any punishment imposed on my son/daughter, in the event of disobedience of the said rules.
5.
I undertake to pay all the fees and dues of my son/daughter from time to time. In case the fee and/or dues is not deposited with the University on time, necessary action may be initiated.
